Evie

Evie is a gorgeous cream coloured girl with a typical Golden temperament - happy, confident and fun-loving! Her nickname at home is sometimes "Evil", especially when she digs holes and then washes her feet in the water buckets! She is making her presence felt in the show-ring, receiving accolades from judges and exhibitors alike! By the age of 8 months she had quite a few group and sweepstakes wins to her name! On the day Evie turned 6 months old, at Bathurst District KC, she won 1st place from a large entry of puppies in 6-12 mths sweepstakes, then took out Minor Puppy In Group and MINOR PUPPY IN SHOW!! All this on her very first day in this age group!

Evie has been shown in 2 Royal Easter Shows. Golden Retrievers are usually the largest breed entry at the Royal. Both years, she has been placed in very large classes. In 2007 she was 2nd in Junior and in 2008, 5th in Intermediate.

She is from the well-known, top quality Goldtreve kennels and boasts some of the most famous Goldens in her recent ancestors. Her pedigree speaks for itself!

At the September 2007 show of the Golden Retriever Club of NSW Evie won a large Junior class with 17 entrants and then went on to take JUNIOR IN SHOW !! The judge was Mrs Barbara Gell, a breed specialist, from "Leithfield Goldens" in the UK! This is what she had to say about Evie:

Very elegant bitch with feminine head and lovely reach of neck and layback of shoulder – straight front and good angulation of upper arm. Good breadth of quarters and second thigh. Well presented cream coat. She was hard work to show but had good driving movement from strong quarters.

8 weeks old 5 months old Evie and "Yahtzee" from her first litter
